Baby "BOY" Goffinet

So I am 21 Weeks Prego and here are some photos! These are for you Olivia! We are thinking Gabriel, but as soon as I found out it was a boy I started to question whether or not I actually like that name. So we are still in the process of deciding! But more likely than not it will be Gabriel. It was the funniest thing though, last week I was on a road trip with megs to texas and that was right after I found out the sex. Well the whole time I kept calling him Roman...isn't that funny! Don't know why, I guess i'm already getting my kids name mixed up with the rest of the Escalante/Fugler/Goffinet crowd! Let the name games begin!

Over the holidays Paul and I went to Indiana for a late Christmas and a New Years. We had a lot of fun visiting family and getting away from our everyday schedules. We are back home and settled, now getting ready for Paul to leave at the end of this month for Spain. He will be gone for only 47 short days, so I can't complain. Then he will be back so we can have the baby together! Gosh it's so weird that I'm going to really have a baby! Anyway here are some photos of the holidays!

Paul has been with me now for the past week and its good to have him home. Even if we aren't doing anything special, its just nice to have company. I got a head cold from someone and so I needed "Tylenol Cold Nighttime" I went to 9 different stores and the only cold medicine they were out of was that very one I wanted. Weird! But finally at the 9th store I found one of the four boxes that were left in the entire town! I'm better now! I'm better now! And here are some current prego photos!!!!

The Holidays are here now! This is such a fun time for me, I love all the festivities and traditions. And most of all, Paul will be home for Christmas this year! I'm so happy! We have actually been able to be with each other since July and he won't leave again till February! So excited about that :) And we are having a baby! Crazy and exciting all at the same time. Paul Is Home and I'm happy!

Paul is home and I couldn't be more happy to have him here. This deployment transition was a lot better than the last time. I think it's because I knew what to expect. Paul and I are planning our up coming road trip. We will be leaving on the 16th and headed down to California!!! In the meantime Paul and are buying a 94' Ford F150. I'm so excited...we have been looking for a long time and finally found one, the one we have been waiting for. I'll post pictures later. We are going to sell my Honda to our dear friends, Maeggan and Samuel. Here are some photos of Paul and I on his home coming, and my first "free diving" experience! I'm going to get scuba certified in September! Oh and here are aslo some photos of our new back yard!

I can't believe I've gone through another deployment and survived. Yes they aren't the longest of deployments...but they are too long for my aching heart. I can't imagine 17 more years of this. I give props to those wives out there that have put in 20 or more years as a military wife. Just a couple years is tough enough. I don't know how they do it. I know that Paul and I have gotten through everything we have come against because of our Christ centered love for each other and our Saviour. I can't imagine how non-christian couples find that inner strength, the strength to stand by each other's side, being supportive, being faithful, loving unconditionally. I am so blessed when my husband tells me that the first thing he wants to do when he comes home is to get on our knees and pray to God thanking him for bringing us together again. How precious is that. I am so encouraged by his words and I've also been finding encouragement in the comfort of God's words:

"Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant" PSALM 119:74

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Cor 1:3+4

This is a song that Paul is learning for me. He was upset when I came to him and told him about it before he could surprise me. But I want you to listen to this song. It's so beautifully depicts the heart of a christian woman. The longing for her husband to lead the family spiritually.

Yes, It has been a while. I apologize for that. I have spread myself way too thin. Between work, school, church and being a wife...I had no time. I thought about my priorities and thought about whether or not they were in order. This is the order they were in:

(1) Work
(2) School
(3) Paul
(4) God/ Church

Obviously this is not okay and I need to do some reorganizing. I can't be a functioning person with a list like this...well it's difficult to say the least. This is how I would like my priorities to be:

(1) My relationship with Jesus Christ

(2) My relationship with my Husband

(3) Being a good wife preparing myself for a family

(4) Finishing School

(5) Work

With that said...

... ~I quit my job at Seabolts Smokehouse and my last day will be on the 30th of this month. I'm at peace with my decision and I cannot wait till my last day (I've worked there 14 months)! I thought about this decision long and hard and prayed that God would give me guidance and he did.

~I have decided to take a two month break from school after this term. This is very much needed, I've been going to school for a year and half with no real break. I will be done on the 23rd!

~Paul will be home around the 26th of July and I want to have as much free time as I can to be with him. When I was struggling with my decisions Paul told me that if he is willing to sacrifice his dreams of becoming and officer and staying in the military, So that he could be home all the time in order to raise a family "together", I can surely sacrifice things like work to spend more time as a his wife.

~With this free time I will be able to devote much more time to church and my Sunday school class. I have not been able to teach in over three months because I've been so busy. Thank God for my dear friend and co-teacher Maeggan Vargas (I love you).

I know that with my list back in order I can live more comfortably. Not to say storms aren't going to come my way, but I am so excited to see what God has in store for Paul and I. Quitting my Job was a HUGE step for me and now we are going to trust that God will provide, I have faith that he will. The Lord is coming soon and I can't waist the little time we have making myself so busy and reaching pointless goals. I need to be honoring God and in doing that honoring my husband.

I am excited for my Job to be over, my school term to be over, and for PAUL TO COME HOME. I can't wait for AUGUST!

We had the Goffinet family over this past weekend for an early christmas! It was such a blast. We exchanged gifts and had a great time of fellowship and fun! I beat everyone in Rummy! I know my dad would be proud, haha! Paul had such a good time with his family. I know he's going to miss them terribly while he's gone in the middle east for the Holidays! Here are some fun photos!

As you know my friend Maeggan and I teach the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Junior high class on Sundays. We absolutely love it. Well yesterday after I taught the lesson we played a game called "King Elephant", super fun. Then Maeggan and I must have been talking about something to ourselves when two of the girls in the class put on my jacket and the other put on my scarf and they sat in our two seats in the front. Dallas was the gal with my jacket and she grabbed my lesson book and started imitating me. Jackelyn was the gal in Maeggan's spot and grabbed her bible. They went off talking about our husbands, just like we do..."Oh Paul, he kicked Maggie today." (which he didn't they were just exaggerating). And, "My Samuel, he scared me in the shower today."

They were so adorable and Maeggan and I just got a kick out of it...the whole class was watching and cracking up.

It's just nice knowing that we are finally getting comfortable with the students in our class...they tend to be super quiet. Anyway here is a video and a photo of them...

So on WED I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out...I'm freaking out cause I'm only getting shots to numb my mouth. I'll be able to here everything and see it all. It's just too costly to go all the way under. I have heard mixed reviews from everyone, hurts, doesn't hurt, just close your eyes, definitely go under...ahhh! I'm seriously scared. Pray for me!

Paul went to a men's conference at our church yesterday and I was really excited because it was the first thing he went to with out me and with all men. He knew a couple of the guys that went so he felt comfortable enough to go. I was at work all day and couldn't wait to come home at night and here all about how it went. I drive up to the house excited to ask him all about the conference and he was asleep....I tried waking him up but he was being stubborn.

Then I asked,

"How was the men's thing babe?" and he replied, "good".

I was not satisfied. I nudged him again and ask,

"was it boring?", and he replied, "No".

By this point I was very curious and really wanted details, why can't he just be like a girl and go on and on about his day. Anyway I gave up and took a shower. I was ready to head down stairs when he came out of nowhere and said,

"Natalie I was so encouraged to know that there are other christian men out there, and other christian men that are in the work field alone in their faith like me."

I was surprised thinking to myself, of course there are other christian men out there. But then I thought, men aren't as expressive as women are about their faith, well in most cases. And I think it's harder for men to talk about their faith. So I understand how men and in this case my husband can feel alone in their walk with God.

I was very encouraged by this and I think it's a huge step forward for Paul and his confidence in his faith and in his work place.

Today In western civilization I found it interesting to learn that Europe's Protestant church was originally Catholic and was made protestant by mistake. But I thought it extremely interesting that the "Statue of David" isn't supposed to actually be King David from the bible. You see during the 1400's was the time of the Renaissance, when people wanted to go back to the old way before the Catholic church ruled. In order to display art publicly it had to pass approval of the catholic church. So Michelangelo said that the statue was king David in order to have it passed by the Catholics. The statue of David isn't circumcised and King David was, he was a Jew. And the statue's hands are supposedly much larger than Davids. This was to show that this man with large hands could do anything with out God and by his own will. During the Renaissance Italy wanted to go back to the secular ways before the Catholic church was so heavily influencing the modern world. So this new art was coming out symbolising that man can do anything by himself. Michelangelo has a whole line of art showing man coming out of rock, which is an example that man can do anything with out God and by himself. I thought this very interesting, sad but interesting. So who knows who the "Statue of David" is.

I have been spreading myself too thin. I miss having time to sit and reflect, have quiet time with the Lord, and time to be a wife. Working four or five nights a week, and having HW every other moment left no room for my time and time for my husband. But after learning a lot I have found a good balance now. I'm only working 2-3 days a week now, and I have only one in-seat class. I am a much a happier person now, and so is Paul, haha! I'm going to try and keep this updated, I think it's a challenge for me. But I want to do it. This is all I have to say for now. I'll post some updated photos.

Sorry I know I'm so in-frequent about posting on this thing. Well I have another excuse. We moved into our lovely knew home! We love it. I will be posting pictures soon...we won't have internet at the new place until aug 5th...so hang in there! I'm still tapping into internet over here at the old apt. which will end on tuesday. But we are going to INDIANA and i'm super excited...warm weather and family!!!! Talk to you all soon!

Okay so It's been a while. But I have an excuse....I started my job and I LOVE IT!

I am a lot busier than normal but it's a good busy. I love the people I work with, I love the owners, the management, and the food. Oh and I would have to say my favorite part is the interaction with the customers. For example I had the most adorable couple come in the other day, they were retired navy and they started tearing up on me telling me how thankful they are that I am a Navy wife and how it's the toughest job in the Navy. I was touched and very encouraged. I don't know what it is but I just love talking to new people everyday. Another wonderful thing about this restaurant is that it's very busy and rated very high on the island...they sell their product all over! Making tips is always so refreshing. Just that little bit of extra cash helps out in so many ways. Not to mention how nice it's going to be getting a pay check every two weeks in between Paul's pay check...I mean...perfect timing. Just when we start running out....I get paid!!!! Praise God! I am so thankful for being blessed with this job. So enough about that. Paul and I are moving into base housing...which is really nice cause it's not actually on base and its a three bedroom town home built in 2002. Super nice...vaulted ceilings when you walk in the front door, three bathrooms one of which is in our master bedroom and a walk in closet (so excited). Way more than Paul and I could ask for or deserve. But that is one of the Navy perks :) I am still doing my turbo jam...it has been hard making time for it in between school and work...but it's a must. Sometimes I'll just but the DVD in and put my own music on really loud and I do the moves and add some of my own and it's super fun, or I'll just put the AB Jam in and do 20 min of that. I can tell my body is reacting very well to the workouts and just moving in general. But I can't really say all the credit goes to Turbo Jam because these last two weeks I've been kicking but working 4 days a week, and those are 5-7 hour shifts on my feet....mucho calorie burn...and it's so busy I don't eat any fried food (for the most part, haha)! Okay so I officially got the serving job at SeaBolts Restaurant...which is a huge blessing!

It is also official that Paul and I will be moving into Navy housing at the end of July, we will finally have like an actual house....and the housing here is really nice! Oh and I started Turbo Jam yesterday and it kicked my butt and I'm so sore today. But I really think it's going to be good! I've never had my abs hurt like this....and it was actually fun! Oh and for all of you who know about my horrible lower back pain...well I went to the chiropractor, who happens to be a christian. This is a blessing for one because I can feel comfortable in a room with him touching me (for adjustment), and two I know that he won't cheat me out of money cause he's very conscious about military budget. I really think that he is going to get to the bottom of my problem!

The Lady from the restaurant called me back today. It was ironic because I was driving to go to the grocery store and on the way I passed the restaurant that I had the interview at, and I thought to myself, "You know what Lord if you don't think I need a job then I'm okay with that." And about 5 minutes later when I was in the store the owner called and asked me to come in tomorrow!!! It had been almost two weeks....so I totally thought I didn't get it! Anyway my friend maeggan and partner with the junior highers at church is leaving for three weeks....so I need prayer that I can teach those darling kids on my own! I bought Turbo Jam yesterday off TV (Now ask anyone...I never buy into these things), but I'm so excited! I'm going to kick butt in my living room and look hot this summer and have a hot beach body! You just wait! Haha!

Praise Gob because he somehow put my resume at the top of the pile and I got an interview at an amazing restaurant. First I gave them my resume 6 months ago, second of all I was totally content not having a job, third we just found out Paul didn't get his promotion (his rank up), and fourth this restaurant is really, really good, so it gets really, really good business and they are opening up a second restaurant!!!!!

The lady ended up being a christian and seemed really, really interested in me! Pray that I get this job, because it would help Paul and I out so much! Ahhhhh God is good!

Oh and Paul and I are okay that he didn't get E5....is just wasn't meant to be, and he will get another chance in September! But the Lord will provide cause he always does!

Ever since I started classes here in WA, I have been experiencing the worst lower back pain ever. I feel like an old lady and I'm not even 20. I'm like, "gee Paul just cause I'm married doesn't mean I need to age 20 years." The only thing I can link it to is my classes. I have class wed and thurs nights from 5-10 pm. So 5 hours of sitting in a chair, but they have cushion on them...so I don't know. As soon as I noticed the pain I made sure I sat with good posture in class, it started to work. So my back will be fine for like two days then I'll wake up and sit at my dining table and I'll have to move to the couch cause my lower back starts screaming at me! What can I do to make it feel better? I've already moved my bed to 100....really firm, and I try my best to sit with good posture! And I took two 800 mg ( I know its bad) ibuprofen and it didn't even lessen the pain. Ugh anyway.....Paul's parents are coming today....I'm very excited! Except since we don't have another bed we have to sleep on the air mattress and I know that It's going to kill my back! But shh don't tell his parents they won't let us give them our bed! School will be out in a week, and then I'll have two weeks of break. Then I start my summer term! After this week i'll officially be a sophmore!!!! So I had the girls up for a wonderful weekend. Paul's parents are coming up next week...so crazy times with lots of company! I'm finally able to get a bit of a breather this week because I finished my research paper....ugh I hate those. But I do still have a couple papers and a final to study for. Oh and things are picking up with teaching Jr. Highers at the church. The kids are wonderful, they are just so quiet. And the group is small so be praying that the Lord will start to liven the kids as they get more comfortable with the new teachers. I've been doing worship for them...It's been so fun to get back into music.

Lets see here, well Paul will be done with his last three months of school in July...then he will get assigned to a squadron. Because of the plane he flies we will pribably be here for the rest of his enlistment for this peticular job. But I love the people here, the nature here, and what God's doing with Paul and I here! I start school on wed night....and I'm scared! I don't like school, but I want to do well! I don't know why I'm having a pitty party for myself. I just hate being stressed....although there really isn't any reason for my stress! I guess it's becuase I actually have friends and I'm getting involved a lot in church and now schoo...and keeping time for Paul! I guess we can't have it perfectly all the time now can we???!!!! Please keep me in your prayers cause I will know what my load is going to be like after this week! I really don't want to loose motivation.

We have been doing great this past week! We are just busy little bees over here. Paul has work and on tues and thursday night he has dive class! I have gym, kitchen, lunch, dinner, and friends! I have been very happy about my new busy life! Oh and next wed I start class! Not that i'm so excited to be in school...I'm just excited to get in going again! ...Okay so just when I thought I would be sitting at home all alone for the rest of my life, I was totally wrong! So I got my books in the mail for the classes; I start on the 25th. I have to overview both and read the first two chapters of one of them before my class even starts. Then I have my bible study homework...which actually takes up a lot of time...but Its really nice to be back in the word again. Then there's Eclipse...

I know I'm sort of late on the Twilight train, but I'm very proud of myself for actually getting into a book, let alone a series. It's only been two months and I'm already well into Eclipse. Now if you just ask my family that is a miracle! Then I have to keep up the house! I find that I'm leaving the dishes to pile and the floors un kept....ahh! I even came home today and Paul had cleaned the house cause he couldn't handle the mess. Now don't get me wrong I clean the house but this past weekend has been off for me...I guess I'm just not used to having things to do! And then there are my friends....today I went on a date with my friend Nancy. We went to get our toes done and then we got some food and came back to my house and ate! It was wonderful getting to know and new friend! All I have to say is " God is good!" Please Pray that I spend more time reading my books and the bible rather than being on this thing...really I'm so bad! I think I need to only give myself an hour slot each day! I seriously charged this computer last night and then charged it again in the middle of today....I know I'm bad! Anyway I hope everyone is keeping busy while rejoicing in the Lord!

So I have been involved in a woman's bible study at the church Paul and I are going to and I have met some wonderful ladies! And just this past Tuesday I had a friend Maeggan come over and make cookies with me for the lunch we were both going to the next day. Let me tell you how refreshing it was to have a girl-friend to talk to after not having one for about 2 months! The Lord has blessed me with some amazing girls, ahh I'm so excited! So then I went to this ladies lunch just yesterday and brought my lovely cookies (which we chowed down). I had such a wonderful time getting to know these girls. Ages: 20, 22, 23, 26, and 33! And yes I'm the youngest one! haha, and the only one without children, well I take that back my friend Maeggan isn't even married yet, so we have that special connection! Anyway it was so wonderful to just talk and get to know these ladies and know where they all are in there navy and non navy lives (my friend Maeggan and her friend Marielle are both from Oak Harbor, so no Navy for them). I just can't get over how the Lord is blessing Paul and I! Snow and new projects!

Okay so here are some photos! It snowed like crazy a few days ago, so Paul and I soaked it up and took some photos on our scenic drive! And I also put pictures of our bedroom (sorry its a mess and the bed looks horrible, we are were having a fix it day) and my new curtains. As you can see one of the curtain rod is actually Paul's spear pol, I needed to use it to see what it would look like, haha! Anyway Enjoy!

As we get the hang of things here in Oak Harbor we feel more comfortable with calling this new place home. Of course our true home will always be in California. Nevertheless we are happy and trying to remain joyful in the Lord no matter what life bring us. Oh....yes so last weeks menu was delicious! Paul loved every meal and I really enjoyed looking forward to cooking something new each night! I would have to say the Chicken Pasta Caesar Salad was probably our favorite, next to the steak and Enchiladas (which i forgot somehow to add to the menu on my last post!). Next week will be an all new menu so I better get going on my meal plan. Here are some Photos to enjoy!

I'm going to try the MENU thing and see how it works this week!

I've been going crazy with meal ideas and I never have the right ingredients so I always end up making the same chicken dish with veggies or salad. So I copied my sister Liv's menu idea and here is this weeks menu:

Mon: BBQ NY Steak topped Caramelized Onions and Blue Cheese

Tue: Avocado and Shrimp Salad with a Lime dressing

Wed: Chicken Pasta Caesar Salad

Thur: Chicken Parmigiana

Fri: Salmon topped with Lemon and Asparagus

Sat: Chinese Chicken Salad

Sun: I make a new menu and go shopping!

So far it has been nice NOT to just aimlessly shop in the grocery store wondering what to make in the week to come. And last nights caramelized onions and blue cheese steak was AMAZING.....If you like that strong taste of BLUE CHEESE I highly recommend this one!

Ill keep you updated on how the rest went! Tonight should be good cause salad are always yummy! I'm just worried about the Caesar cause I'm making that stuff from scratch!

Sorry Its been a while since I've been on here. But we don't have Internet hooked up yet, so I have to go to the library on base and do all my computer stuff! But on WED we are getting it all hooked up. So I will be able to keep this updated more often.

So Paul and I are settling in very nicely. We found this Calvary Chapel in town here and we really enjoy the pastor and the people. I am currently applying for jobs at the moment. So pray that God's will is done and whether I get a job or not, may that be in his hands. Oh and pray for my patience with everything. Every time I get a phone call I get nervous.

Paul and I have most of our furniture all situated. We just need to get a couple pieces such as a dresser and a desk for the office. The office is currently a mess right now! You know how you have a junk drawer with everything in it, well that's our office room! Below are some photos of our home.

I have met a couple of really nice people, all who work with Paul so no one that I can spend time with during the day. But I know they will come. I hope, haha! I keep myself busy though. Like doing things like this, or cleaning and cooking. Or figure out our finances...I know I'm pathetic. But it's so cold so I don't' really know what to do. I need to start doing another craft or project. Like my wedding album.....that's a thought! Ugh, so much work!

Holiday Adventures

The Holidays came and went and might I say pretty fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that Paul and I were Jacksonville, FL. I was in San Luis Obispo for about four weeks, two of which Paul was at survival school. We had lots of fun with both families while in Ca. Here are some photos!

Yes Holiday Cheer is in the air as my hubby returns from survival school tomorrow, and all our family is eventually going to make their way down to the Escalante Villa in SLO to have a wonderful Christmas!!!

Its so nice being with these girls again :)

It has been wonderful being back at home and visiting with family. Spending time with my gal pals has been a blast as well. But all while this was going on my dear Pauly was in the freezing cold surviving in the wild, then he was captured and everything else is top secret, haha! Paul called me today saying that he was back and that he will be coming home tomorrow, oh and he also said that he missed me more than ever and that during the whole two weeks there wasn't a moment he didn't think of me. Gosh isn't he amazing! Oh boy I can't wait till tomorrow!!!! So I believe it will be the day after Christmas that we leave and head up to WA! I'm so excited to find a place and settle in, get a job and go to school! Wahoo, so much is going to be happening in the next few weeks! Well I best be off for now......Ta Ta for now~

I've been able to get into the gym and eat right and I'm all better! I feel stronger and ready for anything, haha! But really I'm doing well. I can't wait till we leave, only a week and half and we are headed to Indiana for thanksgiving!!!

I'm in a slump

But I hope it shall end soon. So Paul and I drove to the Island of "Key West" last weekend and had ourselves a blast. Here are some photos:

But on our way home from the trip I got sick. When I come home from trips I like to clean everything and get back into the swing of things. But that wasn't the case here. I haven't been to the gym in over a week, I feel fat and out of shape. I haven't been able to do much around our home either because I have been having these headaches and I still don't feel better yet. I'm doing everything I can to get better, taking my cranberry pills, eating cultured yogurt, drinking gallons of water, but I don't feel completely well yet. I just want to get outside and go for a walk and get in the gym and sweat and not feel lazy. Too bad it's been raining. So as you can see I'm in this slump, I think I laid in bed all day yesterday after sleeping in till 11:30. Later last night I was finally feeling a bit better and we went out. But this morning again I woke up with a horrible headache, ugh.! Okay I'm going to stop now, I'm just in one of those poor me moods, but I know this could all be lots worse. Anyway, pray that I can pull through, haha! I know I will I'm just not usually sick like this!

Tired of Florida

So I have been getting very anxious to get out of FL and so has Paul. Due to that Paul and I have been a little agitated with one another. Paul comes home from work very tired and just wants to take a nap, and I get snappy and start to get smart with him because of it. I hate when we are like that, ahhhhh! But we both can't handle when we are this way so we try our best to work through it. Today we haven't had much time to talk over things cause Paul is on is second flight for this week, ugh! When he flies I don't' see him all day :( I guess these are the type of things Paul and I are learning to adjust to. He has to devote a lot of time to his job, and I have to stand by his side and love and support him through it, no matter how tired he is. On the up side I am putting along with my ornaments, here are some photos. And here are some photos of Halloween weekend! Have a blessed week!

Locked out again

Every time our room key gets anywhere close to a cell phone or any other magnetic charge, it doesn't work! So for the billionth time, I was locked out of my room today! So Once again I had to walk all the way over to the building where the front desk was. I always feel so stupid walking up to them asking over and over again for another room key. Last time the lady new who I was and even remembered the room I was in, sad! We have been here a little over a month now, don't you think I would know better! Oh well!

Today before I got locked out I walked down by the bay behind our room and enjoyed some of God's beauty! The bay was beautifully blue, the sky was clear, and the Grass was so green and warm. I try my best to get out doors and enjoy the fresh air, cause being cramped up in that little apt. is no good.

I just cut my finger really bad because I wasn't using the knife properly. My poor finger is currently wrapped in a napkin. Why am I typing with a hurt finger, well the answer.........I'm bored.

Paul went off to the beach to surf with his buddies. I didn't want to go cause I would be the only one not surfing and it's really cold out today. So I stayed here and watched "Arachnophobia" and screamed all the way through it, haha! I hate spiders. So good job to me for watching it and all by myself. The things we humans do for entertainment. Gosh!

Anyway Paul and I met some really neat people today at church when we went to the fellowship hall for snacks after service. This really nice lady came up to me and told me that I should join the choir. So I think I'm going to go to practice on Thursday. And let me tell you from personal experience with hearing different Church choirs, this one needs help. But either way it will be fun and something for me to do! Well time for me to go change the napkin on my finger!

There are some photos for you to enjoy! Paul and I had a wonderful weekend with our guests. I really enjoyed having company but it really made me appreciate my alone time with Paul. After all our company left Paul came home and brought me flowers and chocolate. I asked him what for, and he said he missed me and that I deserved it. Well of course it made my day! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I must be off, I better start my run before Paul comes home for lunch, can't miss that!

I'm making cookies in this one, Paul always pulls out the camera at the most ugly times, haha!

This is the beautiful sunrise over the bay from our bedroom window in the mornings......God is amazing!

This morning I couldn't sleep in till 9:30 like I normally do and got up when Paul left for work. I had a bowl of cereal and watched some TV. Then I forced myself to get up and start my day.

I decided to finish the cookies that I started last night. "Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Cookies. YUMMMMYYY!!!!!!!!! Well I also decided to call my sister Aubrey and wake her up since I'm three hours ahead of the whole world. Because our room doesn't get good reception I went outside to talk. I came back in about a half hour later AND my cookies were black, hahaha, oh well! I only burnt 6 cause Paul and I have a Toaster Oven, and let me tell you.....it works wonders!!! So it only cooks 6 cookies at a time, haha, you got to love it! Well since Paul and I don't need to eat all the cookies ourselves I'm going to give them to the cleaning ladies that come clean our room everyday. Let me tell you, these two ladies are the cutest little Asian women ever. They are so little and petite and take out our trash everyday, they are so sweet. It's weird living in a hotel, I'm used to doing everything myself. They finally asked me my age yesterday, haha, that question always comes up! But we are on a Military Base so I'm sure I'm not the only young Navy wife. So anyway I felt like they deserved some cookies for helping me out everyday.

Oooo yes, Paul and I went to the book store the other day and got a couples devotional book. We started reading it yesterday and it went surprisingly well. Even though the lesson we read was short it brought out so many different points that Paul and I were able to discuss. It was very encouraging.

Every time we argue the more we just talk it out the better the result, easy right? Well I find that sometimes when we argue I try too hard to solve it and keep pressing the issue at him, I'm learning to think to myself, "What am I doing?" and step back and give myself time to work off the built up steam. Coming back with a calm and understanding mindset makes all the difference in the world. That is my little piece of wisdom!

So yesterday Paul and I went to the beach and had a wonderful time. The beach is about 25 minutes away from the Navy base, so It's one of those all day things. Paul got a great deal on a used short board so he was able to use that yesterday. I think he caught half a wave, haha! He's used to a long board, so this one will take a little getting used to. I tried to surf as well but I'm so short that I can't even keep control of the board and I always get toppled by all the waves. But the Water in Jacksonville is pretty warm compared to CA beaches so I was able to just float next to Paul most of the time. Then I took an hour to just lay out. I love getting tan in October, haha! I guess the weather here doesn't really change a whole lot. It will get cold as the winter months come.

Last night we watched Brave heart.....amazing movie. It makes me want to go to Scotland. I need more dinner Ideas.....Paul and I love cooking but I think we are getting to the point where we might make repeats, which isn't horrible but we want to try everything new cause it's so much fun!

Well Paul and I are off to the beach again today, yay more sun, but I think I might get bored sitting there watching Paul surf, I might go shopping and leave him to himself, no that's mean, haha! Anyway I'm off to go get ready!

Okay so I'm an early sleeper, I like to go to bed early. Well for the past few days I haven't been able to sleep much, or even get to sleep. It's 12:38 Am exactly over her in Jacksonville, FL. I can't sleep. AHHHHH! I love to sleep, haha! So I'm blogging, don't really know if anyone reads these but whatever I have nothing better to do, haha!

So lately in my life??? Well because Paul and I have one car to share here and he goes to work, I'm pretty much stuck here at the hotel apartment little room thingy. Well actually we have a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a separate bed room, so really its nice. Anyway I go on runs and walked and clean the little apt. and you know try to keep myself busy, but I'm starting to run out of things to do and I've only been here for a little over a week. But don't get me wrong, once 3 pm comes around Paul comes home and the fun begins. We go to the gym together, grocery shop for dinner, make dinner, watch a fun movie, have his buddies over, then we snuggle and go to bed. Except I can't sleep this week, haha! Seriously I could probably go on a jog right now and make it a long one cause I have all the energy in the world, I don't know what it it. I even went to the gym today already. Melatonin was recommended to me to get some sleep, so I'm going to go find some tomorrow, haha! I believe I'm going to start our wedding album, but I need to get the final edited photos first.....mmmm! Well here are some photos of our home!

So I have been married for about 13 days now and I love it. It's wierd have Paul and I don't have our own place yet, we are staying with this family cause technically Paul can't be off base at night, but he has been able to pull a few strings. Ah sleeping next to my dear Paul has been one of my favorites. Waking up next to his sweet face is like a present every morning.

I woke up early this morning when Paul did cause I had to go pee, and when I wake up in the morning I usually can't go back to sleep, so I told Paul I would take him to work this morning so I could have the car. So here I sit in the parking lot of Starbucks on base because there is free internet, and it's the only free internet with in like a 100 mile radius, ok not really but I would have to drive like 20 minutes to get internet somewhere else, anyway .........I must go pick Paul up now, he is done with muster (basically roll call). Okay i'm back from dropping him off at home for some more shut eye! Sometimes I feel really lonely without my big family or my friends there whenever. But I know that God has many wonderful thigns in store for Paul and I including meeting lots of new people. I'm posting photos of some of our latest adventures! Keep us in your prayers.

So I'm supposed to be getting married in a week, so doesn't that mean I should be watching what I eat and keeping myself up to par so that I can be the best and most beautiful that I can be on my wedding day....well I failed really bad in that department cause I haven't been going to the gym, I'm sitter here eating chilie lime potatoe chips, and I've been sort of Lazy this past week. Gee not so pleasant. My sister Livi wouldn't be very happy to hear all this, she's so perfect, haha! Just kidding! Well I'm supposed to go to a wedding ceremony today and someone elses reception. But I think I'm going to skip the ceremony and just go to the reception cause its cutting the time close. Watching the bride and groom will only make me wish I was with Paul and getting married to my love. Well it's almost 11 am and I'm still in my pajamas, I better get going!

As I was driving home today I past all the beautiful vinyard and gazed up at the big mountains and thought to myself how much I'm truly going to miss San Luis Obispo. But I know there are greater things to come so I am also filled with much excitement.

I just got a phone call from Paul and he t

old me that he thinks he broke his nose.....ONE WEEK BEFORE OUR WEDDING!!!!!!!! WHY?? I just pray that it's minor and that there isn't a whole lot of bruising. Oh my.

Last night my bridesmade through me a bacheloret party and it was so much fun. A little embarassing but a lot of fun! We got to

stay at the Old Edna Bed and Breakfast, which

was very private and ralaxing. We ate dinner and then got ready to go out on the town. Lucky for them it was Farmers Marcket and I had to ask a guy to dance with me in the middle of the street. Then I had to get on one knee and ask a guy to marry me, then I had to flirt with a guy and get his number, then I had to wave a car down and tell them I'm getting married. So embarassing!!! But I completed all the tasks I was supposed to and I thought I was done. Well on our way to the Freemont theatre they physically forced me to stand up on a chair in Mo's BBQ and shout out that I was gettting married and I did!!! AHHHH, so embarassing, but everyone was cheering and clapping. Oh my it was a crazy night, but I had a wonderful time. We went and saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, cutest movie of all time. Then we went back to the B&B and had Chocolate

Stawberries for dessert, YUM. Those girls gave me a wonderful night of excitment, I'm so blessed to have all of them in my life.

Crazy time now, less than a week before we leave for FL and 8 days before the Wedding. How am I feeling, Anxious in everyway! Pray that I can ramain calm and keep my focus upward at the one who is making all of this possible.

The count down begins...less then two weeks!

Well as most of you know, I'm getting married on the 16th of August, 12 days from now. I am finally realizing how real this is all going

to be and I'm so anxious. I just wish I was with Paul on these days leading up to our big moment. Gosh I miss him terribly. It has been two months again since I have seen him and I'm going crazy! But wedding plans are going along just perfectly.

My dress is altered, in a bag and ready to go, we found a last minute photographer who knows Paul's family and is going to do it for free, everyone has their outfit (except for Paul, that little stinker), and I have finished all the bridesmaid gifts. Oh and I have sent out my first official set of thank you cards from my Lingerie party....oops now that I think about it I totally forgot to send one to dear Olivia, gosh I'm so bad at this stuff. My boss from work and close friend Kim put on a Wedding Garden Party Shower for my yesterday afternoon. And let me tell you, it was perfect. The beautiful trees and flowers and people. We enjoyed wonderful food from Kim and mingled and talked with one another.

You know it's weird how fast parties go when they are for you. I mean when you go to a party or event and you are the guest you watch, observe, talk and do your own thing, enjoying the

party. Well when your the guest of honor and everything is for you, you have to make your rounds and talk to everyone, make everyone feel comfortable and welcome, and thank them for coming, and by

the time you get to half the people its time to leave.

I feel like these past weeks have been flashing before my eyes and I get emotional thinking about how

its all going to be over soon and this chapter of my life will be shut. Anyway the rest of the party went beautifully, I sat and opened all my lovely gifts and then someone requested that I tell the story of how Paul and I met, so I answered questions for about 20 minutes and then everyone said their goodbyes. It was sad that it was over but I was so thankful

and happy for how everything went.

I didn't realize how loved and blessed Paul and I really are until I saw everyone face to face and tell me how happy they are for the two of us. I had a wonderful time and can't wait until August 14th around 11 am when I get to see my loved one. I miss him sooo much.
